Stun Gun Subdues Man Who Stabbed His Mother and Grandmother

Family is very important. Sure, family members get into arguments but they should never let the disagreement lead to violence. Recently, one man let his more primitive side take over when he got into a disagreement. He actually stabbed two members of his own family. When the police became involved, he refused to cooperate and they had to use a stun gun to bring him in.

One afternoon, a man got into an argument with his mother. He became so agitated with her that he began to punch her in the face and kick her in the head while she was on the ground. Still in a rage, the man continued his streak of violence but redirected his anger toward his 75 year old grandmother. He began to also punch and kick her in the face and head.

This violent man didn't stop there, however. Instead, he went to the kitchen and got a paring knife. When he returned he proceeded to stab his own mother and grandmother. His mother received the worst of the attack. She was stabbed in the chest and near her chin and she received several cuts on her face.

When the police were called, the man fled. When they finally caught up to him, he started to put up a fight with them as well. However, the police had a stun gun and they used it to subdue the irate man.

I can't imagine ever attacking my own mother with a knife, let alone strike her. This man did. For his brutality and uncouth behavior, he will have to face the justice of the American courts. May justice be duly served.

TASER Used on Drunken Teen after Resisting Arrest

It was around 2:40 am when police spotted a car that was parked on the side of the road. Officer Savarino walked up to the vehicle and could smell the alcohol almost instantly. He didn't take kindly to drinking and driving. He knew that things could get out of hand and he may need to use his TASER.

Savarino spoke with 18-year-old Tyler Hicks and convinced him to step out of the car. When Hicks did so, Savarino could smell the alcohol on his breath. He also noticed a plastic bag sticking out of the boy's pocket. The plastic bag contained heroin. Hicks was then placed under arrest for heroin possession as well as illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

During the time that Hicks was being arrested, Savarino told the other two passengers, 19-year-old Tim Giffen and 17-year-old Nicole Giffen that they too were under arrest for illegal consumption of alcohol. Tim Giffen, although he was just told he was under arrest, started to walk away.

Savarino warned Tim two times that if he doesn't stop then they will have to use force. Tim didn't heed Savarinos request and was then TASERed. According to the reports, Tim tore out the TASER probes and then started to run. Savarino tackled Tim to the ground and tried to handcuff him. Tim fought and wouldn't let Savarino put handcuffs on him. A TASER was deployed again and he was finally taken into custody.

It's a good thing that Savarino was there to get those minors off the street. They could have really hurt someone or themselves, luckily no one was.

TASER Stops Idaho Man after He Cut Someone

A TASER was used on Patrick Williams of Moscow, Idaho, who is now being charged with a felony for aggravated assault as well as a misdemeanor for resisting arrest.

It all started when police got a call Monday evening around 6:45 pm about a fight. When police arrived at the house Patrick had left the scene. The witnesses there then told the police that he had gotten into an argument with someone in the home. Witnesses also told police that the argument got out of hand when Patrick started to become violent.

Patrick had slashed at the other man with a knife and cut him several times, mostly on the hands. After speaking with the witnesses, the police went to look for Patrick and found him walking down the street not too far away from the house. Police also found what they believed to be the knife just a little ways from the house where the fight took place.

Police then told Patrick to stop walking and he failed to obey their orders. They then used a TASER to subdue him. Police reported that he also appeared to be intoxicated during the time of the arrest.

There's no telling what all this man could have done if he wasn't apprehended. The other man is lucky that he wasn't injured any more seriously. I like the thought of police using a TASER to subdue somebody because really, if I was in a bad situation and someone hurt me or someone that I love, I wouldn't want that man to die. I would want to have him taken to jail and be punished for what he did.

Shooter Claims Self Defense in Killing Rapper

Murder is murder. Killing someone in self defense is totally different. But all too often people who kill with intent claim that they were just defending themselves. This is yet another story of someone making claims that are pretty hard to prove. This is a story that took place recently in the hip hop scene.

Aubrey Berry was an Atlanta entertainment promoter. While at a club, he got into a dispute with a rapper who went by the name of Dolla. The dispute wasn't settled there but both went their separate ways.

Supposedly by coincidence, both of these men ended up at the same restaurant in Los Angeles. They somehow got into an argument again. While both of them were out in the parking lot, Berry claims that Dolla was headed toward his car to get a gun so he could shoot him. That is when Berry pulled out a gun and fired it eight times.

Four of the bullets hit Dolla and ended up taking his life. Though Berry claims that he fired in self defense, he got into his SUV after the shooting and drove away. When the police tracked him down, he was in the airport preparing to board an airplane.

The police arrested Berry and the judge set his initial bail at $5 million. However, his attorney has argued that he felt that his life was in danger and he has no prior record, so the judge has reduced his bail to $2.1 million.

Self defense is very important. But where is the line drawn between self defense and murder? Well, usually when the killing starts. Yes, there is such thing as killing in self defense, but did Berry really need to shoot eight times then drive away?
